Dr. Umar Nabi had used 30 to 40 kg of explosives in the car blast near the Red Fort. In the investigation so far, it is almost clear that ammonium nitrate has been used in the blast. It is feared that apart from ammonium nitrate, some other explosive materials have been used to make the explosion powerful.

Explosives were kept in the back of the car
The investigation into which chemicals were used along with ammonium nitrate is currently ongoing. It is also almost clear that the explosive was kept in the back seat of the car. Initial investigation is indicating that Dr. Umar Nabi fitted a detonator in the bonnet of the car to cause the blast. Later its connections were made to the battery.

Sources say that as per the entire plan, Dr. Umar prepared the explosives after parking the car in Sunehri Bagh parking. Did Umar do this work alone or was someone else also involved with him? To find out this, the investigating agencies have collected dump data of that entire area. He is being thoroughly investigated.

Route being connected to 5000 CCTVs
According to sources, after the explosives were made from Faridabad, Dr. Umar Nabi had left in an I-20 car. Information is being gathered about where he went and whom he met before the blast. The investigating agencies have linked his route with the help of around 5000 CCTV cameras of Delhi-NCR-Haryana.

How did the car become such small pieces?
After the blast, investigation teams recovered pieces of the I-20 car within a radius of about 500 to 600 meters. Their forensic investigation is being done to find out what kind of explosive was used to break the car into such small pieces. The investigation team is continuously raiding different areas of Delhi, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and UP.
