At least 42 Indian pilgrims died after a bus collided with an oil tanker in Medina, Saudi Arabia. He said that most of the dead were pilgrims from Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, who had gone to perform Umrah. There is one such unfortunate family in this accident. 18 people from three generations of the same family died on a bus returning from Jeddah. Among them there were nine elders and nine children. Mohammad Aslam said his uncle, retired railway employee Sheikh Naseeruddin (70), his wife Akhtar Begum (62), son Salauddin (42), daughters Amina (44), Rizwana (38), and Shabana (40) and their children were among the dead.
Aslam demanded a complete investigation into the incident. He also demanded an investigation into the travel agency through which these people had gone to Saudi Arabia. Another son of Naziruddin is currently in America. Let us tell you that apart from the time of Hajj, the year-long religious journey to Mecca-Medina is called Umrah.
