There are still a few days left for the arrival of the New Year. But till now the business class of the city is worried due to lack of increase in the pilgrimage of Maa Vaishno Devi. It is expected that there will be an increase in the pilgrimage of Maa Vaishno Devi in the coming few days.
In recent times, a huge crowd of devotees was seen with the arrival of the New Year, but this time the circumstances seem to be opposite. The main reason for this is the non-arrival of all trains in Katra because the railway track has still not been completely repaired. Due to this, the Railway Department is facing difficulties in running all the trains smoothly.
Although some trains are still reaching Katra, the journey is seen continuously. At present between 13000 to 15000 devotees continue to reach Aadharshila Katra every day and it is expected that the visit to Maa Vaishno Devi will increase in the coming days.
The weather remained mixed throughout the day on Friday because along with sunshine, clouds remained in the sky and on the other hand, the devotees traveling to Maa Vaishno Devi had to face continuous cold winds. After getting registered with the family, the devotees wore warm clothes and proceeded towards Maa Vaishno Devi Bhawan.
At present, all kinds of facilities are being provided to the devotees continuously and devotees are availing the benefits of helicopter service as well as battery car service, ropeway and horse, pitthu and palanquin services. After visiting Maa Vaishno Devi, the devotees are leaving for Bhairav Valley and completing their journey to Maa Vaishno Devi by placing their feet at the feet of Baba Bhairavnath.
After completing Maa Vaishno Devi Yatra, devotees are shopping as Prasad in Katra, due to which there is constant presence of devotees in the markets. On 18th December, 13700 devotees had gathered at the feet of Maa Vaishno Devi, while on 19th December, by 5 pm, 11900 devotees had left for the temple to visit Maa Vaishno Devi. At the same time, so far in the ongoing month of December, about 2.75 lakh devotees have visited Maa Vaishno Devi.
