Three suspected people have been arrested for hatching a terrorist conspiracy in Gujarat. The Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested all three suspected terrorists while supplying weapons. These people, arrested for conspiring to carry out terrorist attacks in the country, were identified as Dr. Ahmed Mohiuddin Syed, Mohammad Suhail S/O and Azad. Police have also recovered weapons and cartridges from the three.

Three suspects arrested from Ahmedabad
The statement issued by the police said, ‘Gujarat ATS has arrested three suspects from Ahmedabad. He was on the radar of Gujarat ATS for the last one year. All three were arrested while supplying weapons. They were planning to carry out terrorist attacks in different parts of the country.
Police also recovered weapons
Gujarat ATS DIG Sunil Joshi said, police had received information that a person from Hyderabad, Syed Ahmed Mohiuddin, was involved in terrorist activities and was about to come to Ahmedabad for the same. Upon investigation, his activity was traced to Ahmedabad. He was arrested at a toll plaza near Adalaj. Two Glock pistols, a Beretta pistol, 30 live cartridges and 4 liters of castor oil were recovered from him.

Conspiracy to prepare chemical poison
He told that Syed Ahmed Mohiuddin is 35-36 years old. He did MBBS from China. He wanted to carry out a terrorist activity that would cause huge damage. He was in contact with many foreigners. He was in touch with a Telegram ID named Abu Khadija, who was allegedly linked to ISKP (Islamic State – Khorasan Province)… He had also started the process of preparing a chemical poison named Ricin, which is made from the waste material left over from the processing of castor seeds. He had come to Ahmedabad to take delivery of weapons… He had received the consignment of weapons from Kalol.

Gujarat ATS also arrested two people from Uttar Pradesh
According to DIG Sunil Joshi, two other suspects from Uttar Pradesh were in Banaskantha, Gujarat. Both are residents of Lakhimpur and Shamli. They have been identified as Azad Suleman Shaikh and Mohammad Suhail Salim Khan. Both have received ‘Deeni’ education and are fundamentalists. Apart from keeping in touch with people living abroad, he has also done Reiki in the crowded areas of Lucknow, Delhi and Ahmedabad. His activities have also been recorded in Kashmir. He received the goods from Hanumangarh in Rajasthan and delivered them in Kalol. Police are investigating further. We have got the remand of one accused till November 17. The remaining two will be presented in the court today.

Arrest of people associated with Al-Qaeda
Earlier, Gujarat ATS had also arrested five people associated with Al Qaeda. A woman from Bangalore was also included among those arrested. The accused woman was identified as Sama Parveen. The other four accused were Mohammad Faiq of Delhi, Mohammad Fardeen of Ahmedabad, Saifullah Qureshi of Aravalli and Zeeshan Ali of Noida.
