Actually, Kharge addressed a program in Vijaypura on Sunday. During this, he said that I worked hard to bring the party to power as a CLP leader in 1999. The party formed the government and SM Krishna became the Chief Minister. He was active in the party four months before the elections as KPCC President. He said that all my hard work went in vain. I think I worked hard for five years, but the person who came four months ago was made the Chief Minister.
We should keep working without any greed
Kharge further said, ‘I want to say that we are facing difficulties, but we should keep working without any greed. If you are greedy, you will not get anything. Also, you will not be able to talk about your mind. Going through all these circumstances, I have become AICC President today from a block president. I did not run after the posts. ‘

Demand for Dalit Chief Minister arose again
After this statement of Kharge, Jagalur Congress MLA B.K. Devendrappa said that now a Dalit should be made the Chief Minister in Karnataka. This alleged statement by Devendrappa has further increased the speculation of leadership change.
At the same time, Social Welfare Minister HC Mahadevappa said, “Kharge is one of the senior leaders of the country and he has all the necessary qualities to hold any constitutional position, and we wish that whenever they get an opportunity, they get opportunities.” Mahadevappa took the name of Dalit leaders of Congress who have taken over the post of Chief Minister in other states. Such as Damodaram Sanjeevaya, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Jagannath Pahadia and Ram Sundar Das. Mahadevappa said that the party will decide when the time comes and everyone will follow it.

However, Kharge’s son and IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge tried to reduce speculation. He said that his father was only telling about the ups and downs of his political life. His speech should be seen in totality, not selectively. He also clarified that he had no regrets.

Meanwhile, State BJP President BY Vijayendra reacted to the development. He said that Kharge has shared his pain and disappointment with the people of the state openly. He told that even after working in the Congress party for 40-50 years, he was not made the Chief Minister. He said that Kharge’s comments have indirectly revealed how Gandhi family, Congress party and Siddaramaiah have been doing injustice to scheduled castes and tribes.
