Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a tour of Jammu and Kashmir from today. Shah is coming on an important three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir from 5 to 7 February. This visit, which is taking place between the budget session of Jammu and Kashmir and the ongoing anti-terrorist operations in Kishtwar and Udhampur, is considered important from security point of view. Just before Shah’s visit, a letter on the killing of Kashmiri Pandits has gone viral.
Shah will hold a high-level review meeting on the security situation in the state in Jammu and will also visit the International Border in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district. According to sources, the Union Home Minister will also inspect the new equipment installed by BSF on the border to prevent infiltration. He will meet the soldiers at the border posts and talk about their needs and challenges. Let us tell you that Hiranagar and Samba sectors have been very sensitive in terms of terrorist infiltration. Shah will focus on strengthening the security strategy of the area by holding a meeting with the local administration and security officials.

Ahead of Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit, a letter threatening murder for Kashmiri Pandits if they return to the valley has gone viral. The police and army have not confirmed this in the letter issued in the name of Falcon Squad. However, officials say that investigation is underway.
In the letter dated February 3, it is written that we had warned Kashmiri migrant Pandits not to become scapegoats for petty gains but you are walking on the path of cruel death. You know the fate of those colleagues among you who, despite warnings, ignored what was going to happen to them. Don’t be like them and don’t get your name added to their death list.

It is written in the letter that earlier we had stopped the activities targeting you because some Kashmiri migrant Pandit groups and your elders had assured that they will not play into the hands of the Sanghi government.
