The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing on the Bihar voter list intensive revision case till 12-13 August. The Supreme Court has asked the petitioners and the Election Commission to file their reply by 8 August. The petitioners claimed that the draft list would be published on 1 August and many people have been excluded from the voter list. On this, the Supreme Court said that we are reviewing the matter as a judicial authority and if people are out of the voter list on a large scale, we will immediately intervene.
Supreme Court refused to ban the publication of voter list
The Supreme Court on Monday refused to ban the publication of the draft voter list in Bihar during the hearing on the case. At the same time, the Supreme Court asked the Commission again to consider the Aadhaar to be included in the list of documents.
