The US Senate elected on Wednesday evening (local time) as the head of the National Anti -Terrorism Center by President Donald Trump who approved Kent. However, the Democrats objected to interest in conspiracies involved in his extreme right -wing people and the attack on US capital on 6 January 2021.
Kent was approved by a 53-44 vote, mostly votes according to the party. Earlier, he was working in the team of National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard. The work of Kent to this new post will be to find out terrorist threats and analyze them.
After approval, Kent said that they want to stop most of the agency’s resources Latin American gangs and other criminal gangs involved in migration. He is one of the close people of Trump whom Trump is appointing important positions to pursue his agenda. During his confirmation hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee in April, Kent said, “President Trump in Cartels and members of these violent gangs are committed to identify and ensure that we find them and get them out of our country.”

Served in army 11 times as green beret
Joe Kent served as a green beret in the army 11 times, then worked in CIA and then contested for the Congress twice, but lost. His first wife was a cryptologist in a Navy, who died in an Islamic State attack in Syria in 2019.
Democrats strongly opposed Kent’s confirmation
Democrats strongly opposed the confirmation of Kent, and cited his previous relationship with the principles of his extreme-south personalities and conspiracy. During its 2022 Congress campaign, Kent paid for consultation work to Graham Jorgenson, a member of the excessively-south military group Proud Boys. He also worked together with Joy Gibson, the founder of the Christian nationalist group Patriot Prayer and received the support of various over-south personalities.

Democrats also accused Kent
During his confirmation hearing in the Senate, Kent also refused to separate himself from the conspiracy theory in which federal agents somehow provoked the attack on the capital on 6 January 2021. At the same time, he also denied the false claim that Trump won the 2020 election against the President Joe Bidon. However, Democrats also alleged that Kent tried to change an intelligence analysis to implement strict laws to his political opponents.
Republican supports Kent
Republican leaders praised Kent’s military and intelligence experience. “Kent has spent his entire career fighting terrorism and protecting Americans,” said Republican President of Intelligence Committee, Senator Tom Cotton said.
