The Donald Trump administration has presented a 15-point ceasefire proposal to Iran. This information was given by a person who is aware of it, but is not allowed to speak publicly on the issue. This ceasefire proposal has been submitted to Iran through the mediators of Pakistan. Pakistan itself has offered to host mediation talks between the US and Tehran.
Along with the ceasefire proposal, America is also increasing the deployment of troops.
This proposal has been sent by the US to Iran at a time when the US Army is preparing to deploy at least 1,000 more soldiers from its 82nd Airborne Division in West Asia in addition to the approximately 50,000 soldiers already deployed in the region. The New York Times reported in its report on Tuesday that the 15-point plan has been handed over to Iranian authorities. Meanwhile, the Pentagon is also in the process of deploying two Marine units, bringing an additional approximately 5,000 Marines and thousands of sailors to the region.
Israel expressed surprise at the ceasefire proposal to Iran
The Israeli government, which was advocating Trump to continue the war against Iran, is surprised by the ceasefire proposal sent by the US administration. This move is being seen as Trump’s strategy amid American preparations to send additional soldiers and marines to the Middle East. It is believed that due to the ceasefire, America has got time to make further strategy and deploy troops. So that if Iran does not agree to the ceasefire, then further decisions can be implemented in a better way. The White House did not respond to requests for comment on the matter.
